Licence terms
Version of 3 November 2026.
1. Parties and acceptance
The Licensor is Virtualni Telekomunikatsii LLC (ТОВ «ВІРТУАЛЬНІ ТЕЛЕКОМУНІКАЦІЇ», brand Live-TV Service), EDRPOU code 43158087, 23 Volodymyra Vysotskoho St., apt. 117, Odesa 65123, Ukraine, support@easycaster.net.
The User is a person or organisation that installs or uses EasyCaster Transcoder (including playout), EasyCaster Prompter, EasyCaster Alarm, EasyCaster MPEG-TS Player or EasyCaster Stream Player for Android (the Program).
These Terms are a public offer. You accept them when you agree to them in the installer or in the Program, pay an invoice that refers to them, or install the Program after the Terms have been shown to you. A separate signed contract takes precedence over these Terms. If language versions differ, the Ukrainian version prevails.
2. What is permitted
We grant a non-exclusive licence: to install the Program on one computer — physical, or a virtual machine with its own Machine ID — and use it as intended within the limits of the edition, in your own work and to serve your clients. You may make backup copies of the installer and settings. The territory is worldwide, subject to clause 6(g).
You receive a licence, not ownership. Rights to the Program belong to the Licensor; rights to third-party components belong to their owners.
3. Editions and payment
| Program | Edition | Limits | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transcoder | Free | 3 Custom Process modules, 1 playout channel with limits | free of charge, no time limit |
| Transcoder | Basic / Pro / Enterprise | 100 / 250 / 500 modules; 2 / 4 / 16 playout channels | by invoice |
| Prompter | trial | 14 days, 10-minute sessions | free of charge |
| Prompter | full | — | by invoice |
| Alarm | — | — | free of charge, no time limit |
| MPEG-TS Player | — | — | free of charge, no time limit |
| Stream Player (Android) | — | — | free of charge, no time limit |
- The limits are licence conditions, not a guarantee that a computer can handle that load.
- In Free and the Prompter trial the Program shows a Live-TV Service banner; paid editions do not.
- The price, currency and payment term are stated in the invoice. Payment is one-off and the licence is perpetual.
- We send the activation code no later than 3 working days after payment.
- Before the code is sent, money is refunded in full; after that, it is not refunded except as required by law. Before buying, you can try the Program in Free or the trial.
- We may change the terms of the free editions for new versions. A version already installed keeps working on the terms under which you received it.
4. Activation and transfer
- The code is bound to the Machine ID from the activation window. The code is checked without an internet connection.
- The Machine ID changes after reinstalling Windows (Transcoder) or replacing the processor, motherboard or first physical disk, usually the system disk (Prompter). Send us the new Machine ID and we will issue a new code free of charge. You must then stop using the paid edition on the old computer.
- Each computer on which the Program runs simultaneously in a paid edition, including a warm 1+1 playout standby, needs its own licence.
- If the code no longer matches, the Program falls back to Free or unactivated mode and deletes nothing.
- The code is confidential. A licence may be transferred to another party only with our consent.
5. Updates and support
Updates are free for every edition for as long as we release them. Alarm is updated by installing a new version from easycaster.net, Stream Player through Google Play. Transcoder, Prompter and MPEG-TS Player install updates only with your consent; the update feed is signed and every package is checked against it. We are not obliged to release updates or to support particular versions, systems or hardware. Support is by email and Telegram on working days.
6. What is prohibited
- (a) using a paid edition on more computers than licences bought, or circumventing limits;
- (b) circumventing licensing, guessing or distributing codes, spoofing the Machine ID;
- (c) hiding the banner in Free and the trial, removing copyright notices;
- (d) selling, renting or sublicensing the Program or codes, or distributing the Program in your own name; linking to easycaster.net is allowed;
- (e) decompiling or modifying the Program, except where the law or a third-party component licence allows it;
- (f) using the Program to violate the law or the rights of others, including retransmitting content you have no rights to;
- (g) use of the Program by persons subject to Ukrainian sanctions or in the territory of the aggressor state.
You are responsible for the content, advertising and broadcast rights.
7. Third-party components
The programs contain third-party components: Transcoder — FFmpeg, nginx, LibVLC, SRT, OpenSSL, Avalonia; Alarm — Avalonia, ReactiveUI, .NET; MPEG-TS Player — FFmpeg (LGPL), FFME, WPF UI; Stream Player — LibVLC (LGPL), Media3, srtdroid; all programs — .NET libraries. The list and licence texts are on the Third-party components page at easycaster.net and in the installation folder. Each component is used under its own licence, and these Terms do not limit the rights it grants.
- FFmpeg is a separate program under the GNU GPL v3. Source code for the delivered versions is available on request at support@easycaster.net for three years after delivery.
- LibVLC is under the GNU LGPL 2.1: you may replace these libraries with your own versions; to do so, you may modify and examine the Program for your own use and for debugging such changes.
- The Program licence does not include patent licences for codecs (H.264, HEVC, AAC).
8. Data
What the Program sends over the internet (updates, anonymous statistics, error reports, banner) is described in the Privacy policy: easycaster.net/en/privacy/.
9. Liability
The Program is provided “as is”, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, compatibility with any hardware or fitness for your purpose. The User is responsible for the broadcast chain, redundancy and checks before going on air.
EasyCaster Alarm is not an official warning system. It receives alert data from a third-party service; the data can be late, incomplete or unavailable. The User checks that Alarm works before going on air and does not use it as the only source of warnings.
We are not liable for lost profits, broadcast interruptions, fines, third-party claims or data loss. Our total liability does not exceed the amount paid for the licence the claim relates to; for free editions, we are liable only for intent. These limits do not apply to intentional breach and do not deprive a consumer of rights the law does not allow to be limited. Force majeure, including hostilities and power or communication outages, releases from liability.
10. Term, termination, changes
A paid licence is perpetual. You may end the agreement at any time by removing the Program. We may terminate the licence if you materially breach clause 6 and do not remedy the breach within 10 days of our email.
New versions of these Terms are published at easycaster.net/en/terms/ and apply to new versions of the Program. They do not reduce the limits of a licence already bought.
11. Law and disputes
Ukrainian law applies. First, negotiation: a claim is sent by email and answered within 30 days. If there is no agreement, the dispute is heard by a Ukrainian court at the Licensor’s location unless the law requires otherwise. A consumer retains the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence. If any clause is held invalid, the rest of the Terms remain in force.
